When the TREK team arrived in Berlin, they were surprised by the darkness that surrounded the city. It was so grey and there was lots of graffiti. The people seemed unfriendly at first, but as trust was built they let their guards down.
Most of this team’s work in Germany involved doing construction for a church plant, but they were also involved in worship-leading and leading services at the church.
Although their experience was sometimes incredibly difficult and challenging, this TREK team was amazed by everything that God taught them. God took them on an adventure through uncomfortable times and amazing times.
“He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the hearts of men; yet they cannot fathom what God has done from beginning to end.” Ecclesiastes 3:11
Scraping paint off walls, taking out old windows, smashing glass, breaking down walls, and cutting concrete. These are just a few of the tasks that the Germany TREK team worked on as they renovated a church building in Berlin.
