Elicia Borelli longed for a family. As the product of a broken home, the young woman sought a place of refuge. When she met Otto and Lidia Funk, MBMS International missionaries in Lima, Peru, she could sense that they had what she always wanted: joy, friendship, and unconditional love.

Elicia loved spending time with the Funks and soon she started to attend church. Church was a place where she could enter into activities, build friendships, and learn about God. The community that Elicia experienced at church made it feel like home. Elicia is engaging in service and acts of love amongst her church congregation and is being transformed by God. As she finds refuge in church, Elicia has found everlasting refuge in God.
