Light In Darkness

When the doctor told Gaow that she was HIV positive, Gaow believed that her life had no worth and wanted to kill herself. She felt like her life was in complete darkness and there was no way of escape.

Her husband Gai became sick three months later, and Gaow immediately knew that he was also HIV positive. At this time, they met a nurse in the hospital who told them about Jesus and invited them to her church.

Gaow and Gai started going to church with the nurse each week. At first, Gaow did not eat or drink with the people at church because she was certain that they would hate her. But over time, Gaow came to realize that there were people in the church who understood her and cared about her.

A cell group was started in Gaow's home and she invited many of her neighbors to come. This cell group grew quickly into a church that is now called the Bethel Church plant. Many people are coming to know Jesus because of the witness of the members of this church, and Gaow and Gai love to serve and encourage the new believers.

Gaow knows that her life has value and she no longer fears death because she has hope in Jesus. She can stand firm in the truth that God is with her in every situation.

Thanks John for Gaow's video! I must be slow on the draw in seeing it. Just want to let you know that Gai and Gaow are healthy. God is continuing to bless their business. Gaow now sings on the worship team. Her dream for a church has come true and all the believers love her gentle spirit and deep faith. Last month, 3 of her family members prayed to receive Christ when we went to the Isaan. Their testimony is powerful! Thanks for all your work on this video! God Bless you.
