As a child, Ganiga’s older family members taught her how to play poker and she was very good at it. But as she played poker more and more, this grew into a gambling addiction. She borrowed a lot of money to maintain her addiction and was soon deep in debt.
Ganiga tried everything to solve her problems on her own and finally came to a place where she realized that she needed God. Ganiga found true joy in knowing Jesus and her life just kept getting better.
After being a Christian for about a year, Ganiga was approached by MBMSI missionary Karen Sanchez who told her about the Abundant Life Home orphanage that was going to be started for HIV-positive orphans.
Now Ganiga cares for the boys in the Abundant Life Home and feels like God has given these children to her as her own sons. The children often invite friends over to the Home and they are seeing more and more children coming to their churches. Many people have been led to Christ through these children.
Ganiga’s desire is that all of the people in her home village of Ang Sila will one day praise the Lord and love Him with all of their hearts!
“Praise the Lord, all you nations; extol Him, all you peoples.
For great is His love toward us, and the faithfulness of the LORD endures forever.
Praise the Lord.” – Psalm 117
