Andy Owen (3:16)

During Andy's first term as a missionary with Team 2000 in Chonburi, Thailand he was consumed with doing more and more. Before long he hit rock bottom. If this is what it meant to be a missionary, then Andy wasn't sure he was up for it. Completely burnt out, he cried aloud to God. God met him in that place of brokenness and showed him that ministry wasn't about what Andy could do for God; it was about what God could do through Andy. God not only uses his weaknesses to reflect His glory, but that He also invites others to take part in shining the light of God. One Sunday School class has been faithful in partnering with the Owen's since the beginning of their service. Their prayers, encouragement, and participation in a short-term missions trip to Thailand have had a significant impact on the ministry in Chonburi.

God isn't interested in what we can do for Him. He's interested in entering to an intimate, adventurous relationship with His children - one that will radiate His glory. Some will go - like Andy. Some will send - like the Sunday School class. But all are called to partnership in the gospel. What is your role in the kingdom of God?

"In all my prayers for you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now." - Philippians 1:4-5
